The DG Murray Trust
Our partnership with The DG Murray Trust has been multifaceted. Previous projects have included providing enrichment workshops to community based ECD practitioners based at sites as well as to home and family based ECD practitioners to ensure that children have access to good quality early learning activities as well as compiling a book of ideas for creating early learning opportunities in the home. Solon Foundation

Kwangcolosi Child and Family Care

Dalton Education Trust (DET)
The partnership between LETCEE and the Dalton Education Trust (DET) began in April 2009. Dalton Education Trust approached LETCEE as they wanted to implement a programme based on LETCEE's SiSi model in the communities surrounding the Dalton Private Reserve. LETCEE was involved in many different facets of the programme from the initial community meetings to the training of the community committee and the Family Facilitators. The DET Family Facilitators completed their NQF Level 1 ECD certificate. LETCEE also assisted DET in establishing a Toy Library at the Resource Centre in Dalton Bridge and trained the Toy Librarian and Family Facilitators in the purpose and functions of a Toy Library. CECD (Centre for Early Childhood Development)
In 2009 LETCEE and CECD began a partnership to with the aim to strengthen community managed Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The focus of this project was to develop the skills of untrained teachers working in community managed ECD centres, assist the centres to access Provincial ECD Social Development Subsidies, develop skills of community members managing the centres and provide educational equipment to the sites. LETCEE was approached by AIDS Foundation South Africa (AFSA) to train their facilitators in basic ECD skills in Nquthu.
